Yes, NYFW has started and we are in full swing here in New York. Today for Lookbook Friday I am sharing GEORGINE’s Spring/Summer 2017 show. And I am exited to share with you that I will be attending the Fall 2017 show this weekend. GEORGINE was founded in 2012 by Georgine Ratelband and her partner Chris Roshia. And one could say that Georgine had quite the sky rocketing career, before she even graduated from university her thesis-collection was picked up by Sien, a well know and prestigious boutique in Antwerp. Known for making feminine clothes with a strong focus on tailoring with an independent rock-n-roll edge, the spring collection moves even further toward this rebellious spirit. With more then a nod to the nineties and unapologetic ethos of an indie riot it grrrl, the lineup for Spring 2017 will have you looking at flannel in a whole new way. Add plenty of metallic finishes, punk rock details like safety pinned adorned body con dresses and zippered studded moto jackets, sequined spider-webbed evening gowns and spray painted furry halter tops and you have one defiantly decadent collection. Edgy looks in sumptuous fabrics? Yes please! And the show stoppers to be sure have to be the head to toe tee shirt dresses which are paraded out in all manner of iridescent metallic finishes. Gorgeous. Need I say more?
