[dropcap custom_class="bl"]Hi everyone in todays post I am going to share how to make your eyes look bigger. I was inspired by Ali Andreea. She has a great channel on YouTube and does a lot wearable looks. She and Amy Serrano are two of my favorite makeup focused influencers, they do looks that are wearable and natural or more editorial. Personally I do not do super over done looksI don't contour or do cut creases or things like sunset eyes. I don't wear false lashes and I like to play up one feature as opposed to going all in with a full makeup look.[/dropcap]
The High-End Designer Price Increase & The Haul Video Backlash
[dropcap custom_class="normal"]I am sure we will all agree 2020 was a year we would all like to forget. A challenging, divisive and heart wrenching twelve months of death, civil unrest and economic devastation. Well, at least for some… I am assuming that none of us have been living under a rock, the news reports daily on the on going pandemic and the economic hardship that resulted from this unprecedented world wide crisis. [dropcap custom_class="whb"]I made this video some months ago but with my mothers illness and passing I had a lot to deal with and was too busy to upload. Vlogmas 2020 A Different Kind of Holiday
[dropcap custom_class="whb"]Well here it is my annual all-in-one vlogmas video. My regular viewers know I do not do a daily vlogmas. This year was even harder with the loss of my mom, and of course COVID. I did try however to keep my spirits up and the Christmas traditions alive, things I know my mother liked. I got to a light show and did a bit of window shopping. I hope you enjoy and let's hope that 2021 will be better year for us all.[/dropcap]
Cookies For Christmas Let’s Have Some Fun
[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]As we all know 2020 has been a very rough year. For the lucky folks they did not lose a family member or their job. Sadly for many others they lost one or other, or both. The holiday season is here and is certainly different from seasons in the past. As many of you know I lost my mom in October due to complications from cancer so I can understand what many people are going through during these difficult times. It can be hard to positive, but keeping the holidays alive in your heart can ease the difficulties. You may not be able to share the holidays with all your family members and money may be tight, but the holidays are in the little things. So today I am going to share a butter cookie recipe from King Arthur Flour. You don't need a lot of expensive ingredients and they are so fun to make (and eat!)[/dropcap]
Gucci Fall/Winter 2020/2021 A Most Memorable Masterpiece.
[dropcap custom_class="whb"]Today I am sharing with you Gucci's show for Fall/Winter 2020/2021. Some of you may have seen this already but for those who have not, I am presenting this now as I feel it is a profoundly uplifting show and for me it is a beacon of light in some very dark times. It is also, one of the most exciting shows I have seen in the past five years. A brilliant concept and impeccably executed this presentation was engaging, moving and memorable. Everything is on point from the revolving stage, to the revealing lighting, to the choice of music: Ravel’s Bolero; it all come together to create an inspiring and not soon to be forgotten experience. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and in this case the child being the birthing of creativity and the spark of genius and what it takes to bring an idea to fruition. Alessandro Michele's homage to those beyond the scenes could not be more timely.[/dropcap]
#Throwback To End Of Summer 2020
[dropcap custom_class="normal"]Hi everyone in this video I am sharing with you what I did to close out the summer. This summer was very different from summers past but I was able to get out a bit. But it was not the same. I also look back on this summer with sadness as my mom was still alive. I think say for all of us that 2020 was not a good year. But I did have some fun and I share that in this video. I wanted to post this sooner but Fashion Week creeped up on me and with my moms death I had too much to do. Let’s hope 2021 is a better year.[/dropcap]
The Sweater Vest Trend For Fall 2020
[dropcap custom_class="whb"]The sweater vest is trending hard at the moment and I must admit it is a fun way to spice up your wardrobe. Much like the dad sneaker it is one of those trends you thought you would hate, but you find yourself warming up to it, and then straight up falling in love. The trend is not new per say, but this season it is less fitted than we have seen in the past with a chunkier knit. The sillhoutte is boxier and more slouched, and the palette is trending towards neutrals. We are seeing some patterns but solids dominate for fall and winter with beige, tan and muted shades taking center stage.[/dropcap]
School Rag Parisian Style For Lookbook Friday
[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]Bonjour, Happy Friday all. Today I am sharing with you a French label I discovered on Instagram. A French label with an English name School Rag. My regular readers know I am a fan of the Parisian French effortless chic aesthetic. You know that unfussy, I didn’t try too hard to look like an in-the-know fashionista. Clothes that flatter the female form, and celebrate it without the overblown hype. Casual, quietly sensual, comfortable, with just the right amount of eye catching details. I will have to make an effort to visit one of their stores next time I am in Paris. They have locations all over France, but I believe at this time they are indeed only sold in France. [/dropcap]
