To me backstage is just as exciting as front of stage. I love being backstage, it is just so exciting to see the magic happen. The hair, the makeup, the models, the clothes—the transformation. And no, I did not take these photos, I aim one day to be this good. I was front of stage, VERY front of stage as in outside, on the street, being a paparazzi. You can see my snaps from that day here. But aren’t these photos wonderful? They really capture the feel of being backstage, except they make the experience almost seem religious; all serenity and calm. And we all know it is anything but serene. But that is the beauty of photography. How it can capture and transform a moment into something else. Not something better, something different, something transcendent, something that can be savored.
