his past weekend was beautiful here in New York. Blue skies, sunshine, warm weather and no humidity. I met a friend for dinner and a movie and we decided to see Closed Curtain at The Film Forum. The Film Forum is in a fun and picturesque part of town which surprisingly was not crowded. For my New York based readers this is a fun one day trip and a nice break from the hot and hectic pace of NYC in the summertime. It is about an hour and half drive, and well worth it. They also have camping facilities—but they do not have cabins, it is strictly trailers or tents.

n the last few years the fashion world was twice shaken to it’s core by unexpected suicides. First in February 2011 with the death of Alexander McQueen and a second time earlier this year by the death of L’Wren Scott. On the surface both of them seemed to have it all. Success, money, relatively good health and recognition for their work. In both cases they had experienced some upset and turmoil in their lives prior to their deaths.
