Today we are looking at the Anna Sui collection for Fall 2019. This is a show I would so have loved to attend. Should I visualize myself sitting front row? I am a rabid fan of the Anna Sui aesthetic: colorful, vibrant, cheeky and modest without being frumpy. The beautiful saturated jewel tones and layered mismatched exquisite tapestries is refreshingly romantic.
The glittering embroideries, delicate florals, bright funhouse plaids and youth quake inspired tweeds come together in a dizzying display of a sixties psychedelic moment. Thigh-high boots embroidered with tassels and over-sized buckle pumps lend a bohemian air while patchwork patterns and velvetesque pieces

Somehow I think the brand has chosen a good time to try again, with all the 90’s comeback and strident colors this is a good season for concepts like Anna Sui’s 🙂
