Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children With Eva Green

I have recently become a big fan of Eva Green since discovering Show Time’s darkly engaging Penny Dreadful. Is anyone else watching this great show since it was acquired by Netflix? I love it, and I love Eva Green’s portrayal of the intense but vulnerable Vaness Ives. Eve Green is a French actor and has appeared in countless films but I have fallen in love with her character on the Penny Dreadful  series and I am eager to see her in her latest endeavor “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children”.  Alas season four of Penny Dreadful has been cancelled but as I have this spookily fun film to look forward this will ease the pain a bit. I recently purchased the book Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs for a friend that was in the hospital,  and I started to read it on the train and found it quite difficult to hand it over to my friend when the time came. Kind of like Harry Potter but a bit darker. I am sure you have seen these books in the book store, with their striking covers and “peculiar” photography they are hard to miss. Have any of you read these books? And do you plan on seeing this film which is directed by Time Burton when it airs on September 30th?

  3. I love Eva Green–huge fan of her look/style/talent. I’ve heard of but not read the books.

  4. OMG I’ve been hearing recommendations for that book everywhere (and I think I may even have an e-book copy in my iPhone). I need to read it, especially now that there’s a move adaptation coming out. I love reading the book prior to the movie. And all my friends have recommended Penny Dreadful. . .I just wish there were more time in the day!

  5. Oh I saw the previews for this show and it looks so good. Thanks for sharing. I too love Eva Green and have since I first saw her in Kingdom of Heaven. She was so good in that movie.

  6. A friend of mine was raving about Penny Dreadful but I haven’t watched it. I really like Eva Green too. She was excellent as Morgan Le Fay in Camelot. She has a very commanding screen presence.

  7. I haven’t read the books, but the movie looks fascinating, so I’m going to have to read the books soon 🙂

  8. This is so inspiring! I love the post:)
