the florals in this collection may not have you dreaming of spring meadow, but they do bloom with the full romance of a Marchesa original
What girl doesn’t dream of owning a Marchesa original? Yes this may be out reach for many of us, but don’t fret there is an alternative—the Marchesa Notte line is the more affordable cousin to the pricier Marchesa collections. With cocktail dresses running between $600-800 ( which can also be found on sale for roughly $300) and floor length gowns topping out at about $1400 this is certainly in the range of affordable. In fact you could even consider a white floor length Marchesa  Notte gown in place of wedding dress. An affordable way to look super chic on your wedding day, yes?
But today we are looking at Marchesa’s Notte collection for Pre-Fall 2016 and it is a bit of a departure from what have seen from them in the past. Not as frothy, dreamy and ethereal as what we are use to seeing. The pale pastels and neutrals have been replaced with vivid jewel toned shades in vibrant satin finishes and intricate close to the body embroideries. The ruffles have given way to cascading arches of reigned in draping and silhouettes are more streamlined and fitted, with sexy just below the hip slits and plunging necklines. Florals still take center stage and are an integral part of the collection and are expressed in embroidered bodices, lacy clingy gowns and exquisite prints. From tone on tone reds and yellows, to pops of brilliant magenta on a sea of black, and a softer combination of navy and coral the florals in this collection may not have you dreaming of spring meadow, but they do bloom with the full romance of a Marchesa original.

Gorgeous collection I will not mind having them all since is so feminine and elegant. Have a lovely weekend.
What a beautiful collection! I love love that last dress. So pretty!
Nobody does dreamy dresses quite like Marchesa! It’s no wonder the label is a perennial red carpet favorite.
I loved yellow crop top and long skirt and the first dress (blue and white my absolute best) the most.
Thanks for Friday finds!

Okay, I don’t have a ball to attend nor wedding or anything that needs a formal-ish dress like this collection but gosh, I want every piece especially the first dress and I’m not even a fan of feminine dresses!

I simply loved every gown and skirt here! I like Marchesa very much, it’s very feminine and chic! My favorites were the first one, with blue roses (and the shoes are also amazing!) and the fuchsia skirt and also fuchsia dress with embroidered top! So sweet and beautiful!
