Victoria Beckham has been making clothes for A-listers for quite some time now and it seems she can do no wrong when it comes to her style. She may be surrounded by controversy at times, most recently when she was criticized for using models that were too thin in her Spring Summer 2016 runway show which I wrote about in this post, but that does not seem to have stopped the momentum of the ever growing demand for her clothes. The collection she presented for Pre Spring 2016 still finds the striking dresses she is known for but in bolder colors and patterns. Hemlines are long, from fitted pencil skirt cut dresses to wrap dresses to what some are calling paper bag skirts, hemlines are for the most part below the knee with a couple of exceptions most notably in an asymmetrical navy lace sleeveless mini dress. The silhouettes vacillate between fitted streamlined pieces and non body con garments with a generous use of fabric in sophisticated layers. Along with the dresses, slim capri pants, tailored blazers, A-line car coats, a classic trench, double breasted capes, and evening gowns were also presented. The palette of black, white, cream, red and navy with the occasional appearance of mustard give the collection a classic feel. And patterns some of which were graphically striking like the red and navy heart print balanced nicely with solids and tweeds. Sequins and lace added romance and excitement and everything was paired with pointy oxford inspired flats. And if you do not happen to be an A-list celebrity, don’t worry. Victoria recently stated that she would love to do a collaboration with H&M and would love to reach out this customer, so girls there is hope!

  16. Oh, that first black gown is striking! Fingers crossed for an H&M collaboration 🙂

  17. Her collections are always something my husband and I agree on! Every single piece is appealing for both of us. You’d think he’d make a present out of one of her outfits at this point LOL. I’m gonna have to save up for a bit, but I’d definitely swing for one of her dresses. She manages to make the pieces look edgy/trendy but totally classy and timeless.

  18. Phenominal collection! I adore each and every piece. VB has really come into her own as a designer and trendsetter. I love that she paired all of these looks with the pointy flats. ( i do hate that i can not wear them, though, :(.

  19. I’ve had such a girl crush on Posh Spice since she was Posh Spice hahaha. Seriously obsessed with her, especially her style which has always been so impeccable. Of course her designs would be as glorious! I’ve been lusting over so many pieces for so many years, but am yet to purchase a single piece. I do hope a collob between H&M and herself happens someday, God that would cause serious mayhem and shopping chaos!

  22. This collabo would be definitely a very intresting one!! Her designs remind me a bit of Stella McCartney’s work but they’re still Victoria though. Definitely can feel her “understatement” and coolness in those. 😉 So nice how you’ve connected Victoria’s lookbook with your recently writen post, Allie! Loved the message!
