L ast week I wrote about a color scheme I am thinking about for my future home. The grey trend has been quite popular for some time now and it is a nice alternative to white, but there other options. There was one color that I thought I would never consider and that color is—green. But after seeing Erin Fetherston’s fabulously comforting and elegant Tribeca apartment I am definitely rethinking my ban on green, I mean how relaxing and beautiful is this interior? There is no way you would not relax in this gorgeous space no matter how bad of a day you had. I also love the simplicity of the design, the minimalist approach to the over all aesthetic and the romantic details which give the space charm and help to add to the cozy feel. Living in New York can be stressful and exhausting—the over crowding and lack of green space can really take a toll. I think Erin’s use of this relaxing sage green color and the beige accents are a wonderful way to balance out the urban environment in which she lives. Is there a color that you would not consider? And would you use green in the home? To see more from Erin’s lovely space, and to read an informative interview with her head on over Matchbook Magazine. With the tag line “A Field Guide to a Charmed Life” you know it is chock full of just that—charm!

  9. Okay, I’ll have to be completely honest here…if I have an apartment like that, I would stay in 24/7 and will never leave my home. That place is stunning!

  13. Stunning! I love the green. Jade green has always been one of my favorite colors, I would totally paint a room jade/mint green, maybe soon. 😉
