Well here it is my annual all-in-one vlogmas video. My regular viewers know I do not do a daily vlogmas. This year was even harder with the loss of my mom, and of course COVID. I did try however to keep my spirits up and the Christmas traditions alive, things I know my mother liked. I got to a light show and did a bit of window shopping. I hope you enjoy and let’s hope that 2021 will be better year for us all.
What a year- I know you are ready to kick this year to the curb. I am with you! Thinking of you, Allie. It must’ve been so hard to shoulder your mom’s care there in the end, but it’s so beautiful you were able to be there with her.
I am so sorry things have happened. My dad would have been 69 on 2nd Jan. I always find Christmas and Ney Year hard. He passed in 2002. I have a toddler now and try to focus on her, but it is tough. Think of all the happy memories and your mum would want you to be happy. Sending you big hugs xx
Belated Merry Christmas, Allie:) And sending you BIG HUGS….I am truly sorry that you’re celebrating your first Christmas without your mom:( Over the holidays, we received terrible news about my younger sister’s cancer…needless to say, 2020 has really been one of the worst.
On a lighter note, I love your house decorations:) The angel on your tree was the perfect topper. And loved Ross King’s book. The way he made it all interesting, even Messonier’s obsessive compulsive tendencies:D…I want to collect all his books now and will be reading his book on da Vinci soon (I hope). Have you read Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast? That book made me want to move to Paris for sure:)

This Christmas was definitely a different one, after a tough year… It’s nice to keep some traditions alive to find joy in the small things. Vlogmas videos always make me feel good, a way of connecting with others like you! 🙂 I wish you a much, much better 2021!!

Allie – I’m in awe that you were able to put this vid together with everything you’re dealing with this year, especially the loss of your mom. I could feel tears forming as I watched you talk about your mom’s last days. If we ever meet, I will give you a big hug. I could feel your pain in this vid. It really broke my heart. But, as with the symbol of Christmas, you persevered and still had Christmas. That is so inspiring to me. To share happiness with us, I’m sure helps you too.
