As promised here is GEORGINE’s Winter/Fall 2017 collection straight from the runway. I attended the show Saturday evening with Alex from Letters From The City. The was the only day the weather was manageable, it was clear day and balmy 45 degrees. The show started a bit late as most fashion shows tend to do, but it just gave me that much more time to people watch—which can be half the fun of Fashion Week.
But finally the lights dimmed and rock music pounded at a respectable night club level. With all those in attendance craning their heads towards the stage, the models suddenly appeared—all donning the same black wig in a rebellious lob they stomped down the runway at a frenzied pace. And much like the collection we looked at last week, it was all about attitude with an emphasis on texture, layering and an unabashed embracement of all that glitters.
From metallic knits, to over-sized sequins to an iridescent fabric that can only be described as liquid metal this collection is all about the tactile experience. Add fur trimmed coats, fishnet, lace, and velvet and you will want to wrap yourself in the luxury of this shimmering and edgy collection. Not for the norm-core crowd to be sure. If you’re wearing GEORGINE, then you are not afraid to stand out in a sea of play it safe fashion hounds. You know how to own a room and do so unapologetically.
the looks here are smoldering with audacious sexuality, and with only one pair of trousers in the entire lineup it is all about the femme fatal
Be it above the knee sheath mini dresses, body conscious below the knee pencil skirts or clingy maxi skirts the looks here are smoldering with audacious sexuality, and with only one pair of trousers in the entire lineup it is all about the femme fatal.
With embroidered moto jackets, fishnet tees, and slinky slip dresses adding a rock and roll edge this collection with it’s gothic heart of darkness is a brilliant expression of youth, vitality and the rebellious spirit of those who dress not to empress, but rather to express. And isn’t this what fashion is really about?

NEW POST: RUFFLE TOP AND VELVET LOAFERS
I can imagine viewing this collection down the runway would have been fun and great to see, given the attitude and style of clothing. I really love the coats here, and the dress silhouettes are simple but very smart styling with the added textures and fabric choices.
