Sharing some more snaps from Paris. Here I am standing on a Bridge over the Seine. I still had these fun sunnies.

Sharing some more snaps from Paris. Here I am standing on a Bridge over the Seine.  I still had these fun sunnies. And I am wearing my Clover Canyon jacket which you may have seen me in during NYFW which I wrote about in this post. On this day I paired it with an Alive and Olivia dress, my Adidas, my Trina Turk bag and these latex like leggings. The leggings were super cool and chic looking, but oh la la, they kept slipping down and I was forever having to pull them up. Quite annoying. I didn’t pay a lot of money for them but I am now on the lookout for another pair that fits better.

And this last shot, I am also on a bridge on the Seine. I am wearing a shirt I picked up in the Le Marais area. It is made by an independent designer whose line is called Wanted. I am loving the pink piping and the asian feel to this top. And as you can see, I wasn’t lying when I spoke about my stringy dirty hair. It was quiet the challenge. It is very windy in Paris, and with all the dust in the air from the sandy walk ways—well this is what you end up with. Good thing blowouts—I mean brushings are cheap in the city of lights.

The weekend after Fashion Week and I am wiped out. I am doing zilch this weekend. Just chilllaxen at home and watching Netflix.

It is the weekend after Fashion Week and I am wiped out.  I am doing zilch this weekend. Just chilllaxen at home and watching Netflix. But I wanted to share with you one of the looks I wore to NYFW. Last week I mentioned attending the Shop Style Social House event in this post. And I just had to show off the swag and the gorgeous clothes I got to borrow which I might add were very hard to give back. Here I am wearing a Yumi Kim wrap dress in black with a gorgeous bird print in pale peach and white. I paired it with this bomber from Clover Canyon and then I added this striped scarf I picked up this summer at The Loft. And the clutch, can we talk about the  MILLY clutch? It was such a conversation starter, I got so many compliments on this clutch, from fashion show attendees to coworkers to people on the street, all eyes were on my Milly Clutch. It stays taken on one side and single on the other. A show stopper right? I just may have to pick up this clutch. Finally I put on these oh so sexy Sam Edelman  lace up heels which were gifted to me and I don’t have to give back. How cool is that?

This photo was snapped by Ashley Gallerani of www.ashleygallerani.com who was shooting for Nolcha and for any New York based bloggers reading this, Ashely works with bloggers and has special rates for us fashion babes so be sure to hit her up!

Rent The Runway and How I Found a Clover Canyon Irish Box Print Bomber Jacket

Fashion - [email protected] - January 19, 2015

[dropcap custom_class="normal"][/dropcap] Rent The Runway is one of the hottest break out companies and success stories in the last few years. Launching roughly five years ago and offering their services online only, they now have brick and mortar stores in three major cities as well as styling services. And hold on to your hats ladies, but they are now offering a monthly service

[dropcap custom_class=”normal”]O[/dropcap] One of the best things about living in New York is the shopping, and gets even better if you are lucky enough to work in Soho, though it can be a wee bit dangerous for your wallet. I had promised myself that I was not going to spend any more money in the next couple of months due to all the money I spent on the holidays, but needless to say—I fell off the wagon. The office I work in is located right on the edge between Soho and Tribeca, if I walk east I walk right into all the shops and boutiques and great cafes and restaurants. If I walk west I will find more take out places and not too much in the way of shopping. So most days this is what I do as I do not want to tempt fate, and I do want to be able to pay my rent. Well a few weeks ago I was being “good” and took my diligent westerly route on my lunch break, and as I hurried down the street on my way to a deli, I was stopped by a sandwich board in front of nondescript building advertising  a sample sale. I initially kept walking, but yup, like the addict that I am, I stopped and turned around. “Hmmm” I thought to myself, “I guess I could just look”. It stated that it was on the 4th floor, so I pushed the door open, headed to the elevator and got off at the fourth floor. And when the doors opened I immediately recognized the logo and purple palette of the Rent The Runway brand! I had stepped in to their Soho location and New York office.

[dropcap custom_class=”normal”][/dropcap] Rent The Runway is one of the hottest break out companies and success stories in the last few years. Launching roughly five years ago and offering their services online only, they now have brick and mortar stores in three major cities as well as styling services. And hold on to your hats ladies, but they are now offering a monthly service which is currently in beta mode. But for $49 a month you can rent three items at a time for as many times as you want per month. Um Ok wow. I just may have to look into this. But this could be the start of something, really good! But on the day I happily discovered this gem around the block from my office, I walked out with this $500 Clover Canyon Irish Box Print bomber jacket, which I now own and paid $79 for to keep as my pride and joy. This jacket is still available at Lyst.com for $154 which they state retailed for $650. So I really did get a great deal, and I just could not pass it up at $79. I felt so incredibly luxurious and fashion forward when I tried it on, there was another women shopping there as well and she kept glancing over at me with envious eyes. So out I walked with my magenta bag on a purple string. Seriously ladies if you have a special event to go to, or plan on attending Fashion Week and can not afford a new look for every show then Rent The Runway could just be your ticket, and with the new monthly service everyday could be a special event!
