Bold? Edgy? Youthful? Yes, yes and yes. Henry Holland’s offering for his Resort 2017 collection quietly explodes in a juxtaposed celebration of tomboy chic. Combining a femme fatale homage to ruffles, lace and peplum with a urban inspired menswear aesthetic and a decidedly nonconformist silhouette you will find in House of Holland‘s resort collection an expression of the new millennial woman.

A feminine approach that does not adhere to the uniform of body conscious dictum. But instead playful, and dare I say comfortable clothes that honor the female form through color, grace and the art of the textile. With an emphasis on patterns and textures the pieces in this collection can be swapped around and play off one another in a singular articulation of lady like street wear.

Patterns happily clash with south of the boarder influences and recognizable on trend statements. With a burst of color Our Lady of Guadalupe appears on a A-line mini dress, a bell sleeved top and circle skirt and blends harmoniously with polkadots, snake skin and plaid.

you have a collection that shines with a forward thinking manifesto of a fabulously reimagined tour de force of style

Florals are sprinkled across gossamer like mesh man tailored dresses, which are worn over pin up sets and two toned tees. Add embroidered distressed denim, pale pink jacquard like culottes, a floor length red prairie skirt “evening” gown and plenty of rustic day of the dead inspired hearts with a palette that balances between airy pastels and gun metal neutrals; and you have a collection that shines with a forward thinking manifesto of a fabulously reimagined tour de force of style.

  7. This collection is very eclectic and not quite my cup of tea but nevertheless, it’s a beautiful one. The only piece that I really like is the pineapple sweater.

  8. I’m loving the pineapple print 🙂

  9. This is a very interesting collection, I can’t decide if I like it or not, it’s definitely not something I could pull off but it’s certainly something I’d really sit back and notice if I saw someone wearing parts of it.
