dvf resort 2018 for lookbook

The wrap dress may not be having a moment in DVF’s resort lineup for 2018, but the label itself is certainly is. And it seems Jonathan Saunders is bringing a bit more of a hard edge to the decidedly feminine boho house. With hemlines below the knee and silhouettes balancing the high wire between long and lean and retro inspired generously cut pieces, the over all effect is vaguely unsettling but oh so provocative.

But it is this feeling of the unexpected and the sophisticated but darkly flirty vibe that is truly the essence of this dramatically cosmopolitain collection

Stripes, florals and lace are interwoven through the lineup and are broken up by unexpected geometric patterns and the occasional appearance of the racing stripe. Add fur bombers, color blocked cross body bags, and open-toed lace-up bowling style boots and there is nothing expected here. But it is this feeling of the unexpected and the sophisticated but darkly flirty vibe that is truly the essence of this dramatically cosmopolitain collection.

It is such a beautiful collection! I really like the rich colours, and that second outfit is a firm favourite! While I liked scrolling through the others, none compared to that one! 🙂

Hope you’ve been having a lovely week! Another busy one here, but not as stressful as last week so that’s nice 🙂

Hey Allie, hope you’re enjoying your weekend.

I really love how DVF is always reinterpreting the classical prints, turning them into an object of desire according to the hottest trends! Actually I took a look at this collection last week to create a collage for a client 😉

All the best and thanks for all your opinions on the blog!

I agree there is an interesting edge to this normally prep bohemian collection. I love the bold stripes and textures also. What a fun collection overall. Fun proportions too.
    Thanks so much for sharing!
