Who ever thinks Muslim women can’t bring on the bling, think again. Dolce and Gabbana’s new Hijab collection is a head turner for women that cover their heads. And the fashion house is part of a growing trend among designers who not only want to be inclusive but who also want to open avenues to new revenue and loyal customers. This collection with Dolce and Gabbana’s hallmark lush fabrics, gorgeous prints and embroideries and statement making ensembles breaths much needed life in to the traditional hijab. And we all know that as women, and fashion bloggers, there is much joy to be found in expressing oneself through fashion. And it is nice to know that is is now easier for women whose religion may curtail this behavior a bit to also experience the same joy and sense of personal self expression that her western counter parts take for granted.
