COS Sandals — Comfortable Stylish Flats That Feel as Good as They Look

Last week you got to see these gorgeous kicks and how I styled them for a day shooting and browsing in Soho. I have been wearing them quite a bit and last week I wore them three out of five working days. They are super comfortable with plenty of padding for shock absorption—something that is often missing in a lot of summer flats. I can’t even tell you how many pairs of summer sandals I got rid of due to a complete lack of any kind of shock absorbers. It was like I was more or less walking directly on the pavement, and this caused not only discomfort to my feet but to my legs and knees as well. Many of these summer flats and sandals were super cute and looked lovely on my feet but if I was going to do a lot of walking? Nope they did not cut it as they say.

I think many of these types of shoes are designed for people that live in car centric places—where one does minimal walking, and is more or less always behind the wheel of a car or a desk. But for people that live in cities like NY where one does a fair amount of walking then shoes have to not only look good—they also have to offer comfort and support.

So yes I can breath freely knowing I am quite the on trend fashionista

That is what I love about these shoes from COS. They are super on trend and in fact when Andrea and I were shooting in Soho we walked past a couple of high end retailers with shoes in the window that looked suspiciously like the ones I was wearing. She even noted how similar one pair was a when we passed by a particular high end shop. So yes I can breath freely knowing I am quite the on trend fashionista. But I only paid $125.00 for mine—no not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. So if you are looking for a comfortable, fashion forward walking sandal at a relatively affordable price head on over to COS.com. But hurry, they are already just about sold out in the stores, so it is just a matter of time before they are sold out online as well.

  1. It’s so funny that you mention the need for suitable shoes and shock absorption. This has been something I’ve recently become obsessed over myself, And I can’t believe how many years I walked around in those flimsy flats. They really are terrible. I’ve never found them to be uber uncomfortable in terms of support but just the knowledge that you’re doing invisible harm that will undoubtably come and bite you in the ass in 20 or 30 years time is enough to cease the love affair.

  2. They look very comfortable.

  3. Oooh they are on sale for $63! Unfortunately, sold out of most sizes, but such a good buy and such a perfect minimalist pair of sandals!

  4. Those sandals are so cute. I’m so happy to hear that they are comfortable fro walking around the city. I totally agree that a lot of the sandals, while cute, are not meant for long walks. Who knows how much money I wasted on sandals, I thought would be comfortable for walking and totally ripped my feet apart. I do happen to wear my Tom’s alot in the summer. I find them to be really comfortable for walking and cute enough. When walking in concrete jungle, you do need good shoes.

  5. It’s nice to hear that these sandals are as comfortable as they are stylish. I totally relate on the whole issue of shoes with shock absorption. I think this is something only New Yorkers can understand since we tend to walk quite abit in the city.

  6. It is expensive, but for comfort, I wouldn’t mind splurging on that too. It is nice!
Have a blessed week, Alicia. 🙂
