Summer is officially over, though we still have some warm sunny days ahead. Don’t think I will be getting back to the beach, with Fashion Week and my trip to Paris there won’t be time. And it may be a while before I take any day trips out east. But last weekend I was able to get out to the east end and I headed to the town of NorthPort with my friend Laurie.
We found this great hillside spot to shoot. The north shore is way hillier then the south shore which is more or less flat and at sea level. The north shore actually reminds bit of the west coast. But when I saw this spot I knew we had to stop.

It was quite a hot day so I wore this super feminine ruffle dress from Lush. It is very light and breathable and with the bare shoulders and slit up the leg it was the perfect choice for a hazy, hot and humid day. I grabbed my distressed denim jacket for the cooler evening air and paired the look with these fringe sandals from Very Volatile which my regular readers have seen before when I wore them with boyfriend jeans and a white tee for lunch in Brooklyn with my friend Angela.
The bag which is super on trend and looks more expensive then it is, I picked up at H&M and it was a whopping $34.95. The sunnies are from Mandee’s and I like the vaguely seventies feel to them. I got a number of compliments on this dress as I strolled through town. So yes hands up, I am a big fan of the ruffle dress trend. Now the only thing left to do is, add more to my closet!1
