The NYC Bloggers Collective Gets Scouted with ScoutMob

N o, the NYC Bloggers Collective are not going to be gracing pages of Vogue, or stomping down the catwalk anytime soon. But we were scouted out and about in NYC on another NYC Bloggers Collective outing. And after a leisurely cup of joe at Play Cafe and a stroll on the brisk winter streets of NYC we decided it was time to get a little something to eat.  And as we all know, NYC can be expensive, and dinning out is no exception. Well, now there is an app for that!  A nifty little app called Scout Mob.

The app works right on your phone, no computer needed, just down load it from the app store on your phone and install it. Unlike other discount services you do not have to pay in advance, or down load or print out any coupons. And that is the best part— you use the app and discounted services on the go! Just open the app and it will pull up deals in your area, scroll through the list of restaurants until you find one you like, and get directions to the location. Then once you arrive and are seated, just let your server know you will be using Scout Mob. To apply the deal all you have to do is hit, “use deal” and the discount will be applied. But, just be sure to let your server know you want to use the Scout Mob deal so the discount will be applied to the bill.

I have discovered so many great places to eat via this app. Sunday night The NYC Bloggers Collective ( that would be me, Josephina, and Adri ) headed to Rami of NYC, a peruvian restaurant that boasts Peruvian, Spanish, Chinese and Native influences in it’s cuisine. They have small Tapas like plates as well as large plates for sharing. We had the Corn Empanada appetizer and then we shared the Skirt Steak with roasted garlic fries. The food was out of this world and everything was seasoned just right. Add a robust glass of red wine, a modern and inviting interior with rustic touches and a very attentive staff and you have a wonderful way to spend a chilly night in NYC.
