Fashion Week is just about wrapping up and I for one am pooped, just wiped out. I had a great time but I am so looking forward to the up coming three day weekend so I can do some needed chillaxin at home. This was one of the busiest Fashion Weeks for me to date. And in addition to attending some wonderful shows I also had the chance to meet up with some New York City bloggers and influencers I have been following as well as meeting new people. And as I have said before–this is one of the best parts about blogging.
Saturday evening I met up with Alex from Letters From The City to attend the GEORGINE show and getting there was interesting. Both Uber and Juno showed up and then I inadvertently got in the wrong car of a third driver. Yep getting a car outside a major transportation hub during NYFW can be challenging. The next day I headed to the VERDAD show where I was meeting up with Elle of The Elle Diaries. Elle and I have been following each other for years and this was the first time we got to actually meet in person.
She attended the show with her friend and photographer Davied of Rozco TV. After the show the three us stuck around Pier 59 Studios for dinner and cocktails. And the next day I took Davied with me to the Nolcha shows and to the Katty Xiomara show.
Davied and I wandered in to one of the theatres which was strewn with white roses
And wow was it windy this day. On my way in to the city I could not even walk across the platform at the train station. I had to hold on for dear life to a bill board sign for fear of being blown on to the tracks. Not fun. Though attending the shows was! And what was even better, as Davied and I were waiting for the shows to start, I noticed a woman looking at us. She had a large camera with her. She left but then came back and came up to us and introduced herself. Her name is Marina and I have been following her on Instagram for about a year now. Cool right?
After the Katty Xiomara show Davied and I wandered in to one of the theatres which was strewn with white roses, a show had ended earlier and everyone was helping themselves to the left over blooms. Davied suddenly turned to me and told me to get on the stage so he could take a few snaps, and this is how this photo happened. He took this shot with his phone so the resolution is low, but how cool to be on a professional set.
My entire look minus coat and bag is from Zara. The coat is from a British company called Paisie and the bag is from Michael Kors. I love this bag. It was a bit of an indulgence but so worth it.
Finally my NYFW experience ended on Tuesday evening with Miguel Vieira’s show at Pier 59 Studios. And this was the perfect end to a fabulous Fashion Week. And be sure to stay tuned for all of my coverage.

I am so glad that you got to meet some bloggers, and especially Elle – she is really super sweet! I guess you two had a lot to talk about and may it be the first of many other meetings! NYFW must be utterly chaotic. These kind of events are generally hectic but I can’t begin to imagine the insanity personified just for being in bustling NYC. Still if I could be there I wouldn’t give it up for the world. Love your look here. That coat is divine and looks so cuddly!
