Today I am going to be discussing Stephanie Lange, a content creator who calls out and shames influencers and celebrities. I initially liked Stephanie’s videos which were about unattainable beauty standards, and the hidden dangers of beauty treatments–or at least that was the portion of her content that was suggested to me. But this changed, or the algorithm caught up with her content. I discovered there are aspects of her content that do not sit well with me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion so I am sharing mine. Join me for a discussion and let me know what you think.

Interesting
I enjoy your commentaries because I learn about things outside my own little bubble. I was not aware that people were turning on influencers. I agree that Stephanie is doing it for clickbait. It sounds like she realized she could get more views by being a SJW in today’s social climate.
Manchmal entdecke ich bei den Influencer wirklich richtig gute Produkte, die mir sonst wahrscheinlich im Regal gar nicht aufgefallen wären. Lg Romy
I don’t really know Stephanie Lange, but I get where you’re coming from. The beauty standards content seemed useful at first, but if she’s just calling people out now, I can see how that’d feel off.
Happy Monday, Allie!
I’ve never heard of her, I’ll have to check out what she’s created.
I can’t wait to travel to Great Britain, it will be a nice journey. Yes this bags are pretty good.
Very interesting post, I have to watch this video in the evening. It sounds pretty
enlightend.
wow – such a great topic . It’s so good we have to talk about unattainable beauty standards, and the hidden dangers of beauty treatments – cause not every treatment is exactly treatment proper for us. Great video dear xx
very beautiful video, thank you, have a nice new week:)
I may dislike or not agree with certain creators or influencers, but I don’t feel a need to comment or call them out. Everyone can find flaws in another human being. Love you friend.

Hello, Allie! I started watching your video a few days ago but haven’t managed to watch the whole thing yet.
I think you started a great discussion. Since you posted about this topic, I thought about it and I think you are on to something. It is not just one YouTuber vs an influencer, it’s bigger than that.
Recently, I noticed there are many channels on YouTube that specifically only trash and criticise influences, calling them creeps and all sorts of derogatory names like they are the main manage to society.
While many of these influencers being called out are not the kind I would ever follow, they are still human beings and this kind of persecution seems a bit overblown.
There is a rise in hate channels. The algorithms like hate. Rage content is also on the risem Every influencer risks being cancelled by these channels now. Like celebrities, they are treated as fair game.
At the end of the day, if you don’t like an influencer, don’t follow them. We don’t need social media cannibalism.
Yes so true the algorithm rewards this thats why they do it. And that was whole point. Stephanie is not in any way morally superior in what she is doing shaming influencers for clicks.
Hmm this is so interesting. I had never heard of Stephanie Lange before. I agree that the whole thing is hypocritical. Even if she used to be an influencer and is trying to delete that from her past, she’s still making all these videos as part of her living. Uhh, influencer?? Just a different kind. Weird.

This is such a shame to hear. I’ve been hearing a lot more backlash in the last couple of years against full time influencers and it feels like all of these accusations are just coming from people being frustrated with their own lives, or jealous, or like you said they’ve realized that those accusatory posts/videos get more attention and that is just sad. I am happy in my own little corner blogging part time and uplifting others in their journey!
I hope you are having a great week so far!

Very interesting topic. I’ve never heard of Stephanie Lange. I will check your video later.
Thanks for this vid, Allie. Like some of the other commenters, I’ve never heard of Stephanie before, but am out of the loop TBH with a lot of stuff. And that’s really sad to hear that Stephanie has gone this way. I find a lot of YouTubers, especially those whose channel becomes their source of living, become like this….click-bait topics to drive traffic:( Some even start trolling, which is the worst!
Sigh….anyhoo, I think for now, I’m glad I’m laying off social media for a bit. I think I’ll maintain my small channels, but otherwise, I’m gonna chill out a bit.
Hi!
It’s always disappointing when someone you love lets you down! Algorithms are tricky! But I’m glad you got to know more about her!
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Easter!
xoxo

I can’t say that I am totally surprised!
To me it has seemed like media in general has accelerated their embrace of click-bait tabloid-style sensationalism,
especially after seeing the increase in views and financial rewards that those who use click-bait, manufactured controversy and sensationalism seem to be reaping! Perhaps I should take advantage of it and suggest to Stephanie Lange that she make use of my own controversial FREE for RE-USE YouTube videos, and even dare her to? I think it would be funny if everyone emailed links to my videos
( https://www.youtube.com/user/misterpantybuns/videos )
to her 😀
Hahaha that would be funny I have a sneaking suspicion she will not take you up on the offer.
Hahaha you SHOULD!!
It’s a shame when people shift their focus but the algorithm hasn’t caught on.
Yes!
Seu posicionamento é importante. Gosto de criadores de conteúdo que divulgam materiais úteis e interessantes. Caso esse conteúdo fique voltado para ofender outras pessoas, esse conteúdo passa a não ser mais tão legal assim.

So sad that some people will do anything to gets views or money. It’s really sad when it plays with other people’s feelings. ????

Agreed, very hypocritical and mean spirited for sure but it makes money…
I like the fact that you dare to speak openly about this kind of trend that seems to be proliferating more and more, which consists of criticising others through social networks. I think that in the end these criticisms come from frustrated and envious people, don’t you?
Have a lovely day Allie! 🙂
Yes agree but also for this particular person it is also very profitable.
Yes I do think it comes from envious people, that and click bait.
hi,
That’s so sad, but unfortunately I kinda notice this is a current thing on youtube right now.
Boring.
até mais,
Canto CultzÃneo
Yes it is sadly
Yikes! I’m not here for the catty people. I think that’s why I like being an unsuccessful blogger, it’s a more supportive community. Haha!
LOL girl too true!
This is why I stick to genuine sites and commentary like yours, Allie! You keep things real. I’ve never heard of Stephanie Lang and will keep it that way. 😉 Hope you are well! I’ve been away for a while again. Catching up now.

Ah,thank you babe! Very flattered.
Interesting and fantastic video.
I had never heard of Stephanie Lange.
Glad you liked my discussion.
I had not heard of this. Thanks for sharing. People are too willing to go the negative route and get the hate likes and rage views.. cuz we all no views are views and too many people don’t care how they get them.
Yes its sad, it is supposed to be a community…
I think it’s pretty ironic that an influencer is calling out other influencers. I would never watch that, I don’t like when people are criticizing others.
Yes exactly very hypocritical.
