Gemma Hoi a Chinese born designer now based in New York City was the first to walk for the Nolcha Shows for Fall 2018. Gemma graduated from Parsons and already has a long list of awards to her credit including CFDA/Teen Vogue, Eyes on Talent, WWD, and BergdofGoodman’s Window & Display award among others.
This season is focused on denim and features silhouttes inspired by the uniforms worn by women who worked in factories in the 1940’s. The collection is meant to encourage a spirit of freedom, democracy and equal rights. This people inspired collection is called “Time Traveller 1940’s” and could not be more timely.
