With a strong emphasis on the “statement piece” it should come as no surprise that the fashion label Style Mafia was founded by a blogger. Found in 2013 by Simonett Pereira a former fashion blogger, Pereira sought to bring the high fashion aesthetic seen on the runways to the everyday girl. Or, luxury at an affordable price point. One can certainly see the “influencer” influence in the this lineup and in the brand itself.

For pre-fall the focus is all about the ruffle. From dresses to tops to bottoms and even a suit, it is all about the ruffle. Asymmetry also plays a role and adds to edgy kinetic vibe in the collection. With solids taking center stage and prints being kept to a minimum the spotlight is on the silhouette.

an influencer dream scape to be sure

And this is reflected brilliantly in the asymmetrical high-low ruffle bottomed dresses. You will also find two-toned flared trousers, a cropped “corset” in mustard and pin stripes, an over the top bridal like strapless top and repurposed blouses. An influencer dream scape to be sure. It will be interesting to see how this brand evolves, with it’s roots in the streets, where will it lead?

I’m really digging the asymmetrical hem lines. They add such a sense of visual interest to the pieces.

Absolutely brilliant collection! Definitely an influencer’s dreamscape. Aptly put !
I also love your blog layout, so artful and professional. That gold and white blouse with the striped ribbon is sensational, as is the red and white trousers. Truly outstanding work, on both of your parts!

Oh I can see the blogger influence in these – they would make such great pieces to blog about, they are so striking they wouldn’t get overwhelmed no matter how pretty the backdrop is! 🙂

I hope that you are having a lovely weekend! We have the sun back again after a pretty rainy week which is nice! 🙂

Your knowledge of the roots of this brand and collection are impressive, and your analysis and reflections are brilliant.
I’m afraid I’m a fashion neophyte, and didn’t know anything about Simonett Pereira.
I LOVE ruffles and also like the colours and colour combinations in this collection.
The silhouettes and over-all looks of the designs in the Style Mafia Fall 2017 collection are striking.
