[dropcap custom_class=”normal”]S[/dropcap] kinnies may have dominated for the last decade or so, but it seems designers are ready for a bit of change as flares and wide legged trousers were all over the runways. I for one am totally on board with this trend and I am excited to change up my look a bit. Flares can be a bit tricky to wear—just go to Pinterest and type in “flare pants” you will see what I mean. Leave it to a fashion blogger to get this trend right. This Diona from the blog The Golden Diamonds. I love the simplicity and the effortless aesthetic of how she styled her look with her flared trousers from Steve McQueen. Using the basic black wide legged pant as a base and then adding a flowing white blouse and a pop of color with the red clutch is all she (and you) need to look right on trend without looking trendy.
[dropcap custom_class=”normal”][/dropcap]If I were styling this look for spring I would wear a lose fitting bow blouse in a soft beige like this one from Top Shop, I just love the bohemian romance of a bow blouse which is perfectly suited to a flared pant. I would swap out the black pumps for nude pumps like these from Steve Madden and I would keep the pop of color but would do a peachy spring tone instead of red. I love this clutch from Ted Baker with the snake skin print back—what a fun way to add a bit of edge to this decidedly feminine look. The gold “Call of the Wild ” bracelet from Nasty Gal brings a bit of bling to the look, plus it is only $14.00! Finally, to bring this look together I would keep the make up simple and go sans eye shadow—just lots and lots of mascara, and a right from the runway bright lip color like this one from Bobbie Brown . Seriously, keep it simple, keep it chic and you too can be a trend setter that others will want to follow.
