This has been a challenging winter for sure. And I for one am more then ready for some R and R in a warm resort destination. Well I may not be jet setting off to a tropical climate in the near future I can bring to you my dear readers Marc Jacob’s Resort Collection for 2018.
With it’s can’t be missed sixties references and it’s liberal use of satin, this lineup takes a stance. There is no in between, you are either on board or your not. I for one love it, to me nothing is more sexy and comfortable then a shift dress. I love the freedom it invokes.
A blast from the not so distant past and nod toward a brighter less sever future
Yes they may not be for everyone but there is a certain sense of liberty in these defiant frocks. Much of which is expressed in this lookbook with the striking poses of the models. Add embellished pencil skirts, pretty detailed tunic tops, a plethora of kitten heels, this lineup is as much fun as it is compelling. A blast from the not so distant past and nod toward a brighter less sever future.

January 19, 2018Challenging is a good word to describe this winter and I just wish I could be somewhere warmer right now. At least we’re in for a bit of thaw this weekend and next week. After the recent deep freeze, temps in the 40’s will be downright balmy ;p The movement and energy of the models is the best thing about this look book. It really bring the clothes to life.

January 20, 2018I absolutely love these sixties inspired looks, Allie! I especially love the pale blue dress with the fringing and beading. I’ve seen photos of my Mum wearing similar dresses back in the sixties. So pretty! Hope you’re having a great weekend, Allie! XXX

January 22, 2018Definitely see the retro influence in this collection, but I’m loving many of the pieces! And the photos are done so well, capturing all the swishes and movements of the embellishments wonderfully! 🙂
Hope that you are having a nice start to your week and you had a good weekend! We had a quiet one here.

January 23, 2018See that Marc Jacobs is turning the table and showing us a different way to see the party dress! Cheers on him ’cause he’s really talented, I just thought that in recent season he got stuck in the same proposal but still one of my favs to follow!
