First it was embroidered jackets, then it was embroidered jeans and now it is embroidered patchwork denim jackets. With the 7o’s trend and Cochella inspired fashion still hot commodities in the world of fashion it should come as no surprise that this super on trend look is in demand big time. So much so, that these hotly sought after jackets are sold out at most retailers. Definitely a frustrating aspect of being a fashionista, and nothing can bring back those feelings of inferiority we thought we life behind in junior high then not being able to acquire the it item of the moment. Well, here we with our first world problems such is life.
I love this jacket from Zara, as you probably guessed from the tone of this post it is currently sold out. But you can request an email be sent to you when it is back in stock, and yes I did exactly that.
Now if you are willing to part with $428 you could score this vintage jacket from Free People. So gorgeous right? Or you could try an embroidered shirt jacket like this one from Anthropologie. But if you are impatient it may be quicker to make one of these jackets yourself. Especially if you are crafty or know how to sew. Of course I am not good at either of these things ** insert sigh**. So are you lucky enough to have one of these beauties? Would you consider embroidering your own jacket? Have you ever done this? If so, please share your tips!

April 20, 2016I have a plain Levi’s denim jacket and how I wish I was better at crafting now so I could customize it like one of these. The Zara one is pretty cool!

April 20, 2016I loooove that Zara jacket. Why must it be sold out 🙁 I remember a few years ago Madewell had this patchwork denim jacket and I was obsessed with it. Unfortunately it was too pricey for my college self to purchase 🙁 It’s been haunting my ever since! Good to know the trend is coming back; it means there will be more options for us to find 🙂

April 20, 2016Yes, these embroidered jackets have been popping up all over the fashion blogsphere recently and I’ve seen some really cool ones! Not sure if I can pull them off though because they seems a little young for me.

April 22, 2016I’ve always had an affinity for this type of jacket, cool or not cool lol. A few years back I found some amazing vintage buttons and pins and wanted to dazzle up a military shirt/jacket I had. I never got around to trying it because I knew I’d do a shitty job!
