[dropcap custom_class=”normal”]P[/dropcap] rints, patterns, texture, stripes and lace all find a home in Carven’s Pre-Fall 2015 collection. An eclectic blend, these opposing elements are mixed and matched and layered together to create a quietly arresting collage of elegance. Uber long hemlines are balanced with flirty mini skirts, a traditional button up striped shirt is given a modern twist with an asymmetrical two sided treatment, which is also seen in the burgundy and navy trousers and a lace tee is taken up a notch with an added diagonal detail of a checked pattern “peplum”. The checkers and lace is repeated in the flattering two-piece one-sided cinched dress which stays in line with asymmetrical theme seen through out the collection. We also see a lovely painterly print used in a long boxy dropped waist top and sexy mini skirt which works equally well paired with a solid or another print. A long navy vest does double duty as a jacket and a beautiful relaxed fit but streamlined coat in jade is a modified version of the boxy coats we were seeing last season. The high-low skirt with the cassette tape print and the pull over with the TV illustration detail are quite the conversation pieces and speak to the quirky undertones in this collection. From form fitting knits, to traditional cut blouses, and classic tweeds to more modern uses of print making and out of the box details, Carven’s Pre-Fall collection is an unforgettable melody of color, form and function.
