NYFW My Style Look #1

[bigletter]Whew busy with my NYFW vlogs but now I am finally able to share with you my first look for NYFW. This fashion week I only wore one brand new item: a hat I bought on sale at Zara. Everything else this season I either thrifted or shopped my closet. For this look I wore sunnies from Bottega Veneta which I picked up at sample sale at a former job. The scarf I bought so long ago I can not recall where I got it, and the sixties style patent bomber I got at Zara about four years ago; I wore it on my very first trip to Paris, so needles to say it holds fond memories for me. The skirt was thrifted at Beacon’s Closet in Brooklyn and the boots I bought about six years ago are from Cole Haan...[/bigletter]

NYFW STREET STYLE SPRING SUMMER 2019 PART ONE

So here it is everyone, the much awaited—NYFW street style for SS2019. The street style posts from both New York and Paris will be posted over the new couple of months intermittently with other content. These were from the first few days mostly outside Spring Studios and a few outside Pier 59. They say it is a small world and when shooting street style I often see the same photogs at the shows

What I Wore to NYFW—Neiman Marcus, Welden Bags and Stepping Out in Style

Yes, another Fashion Week has come and gone and this was one for me was busier then ever. With a full-time job in publishing, maintaing a blog on a daily basis, and attending a whirl wind of events during NYFW I was, needless to say feeling a bit frazzled. But, I had a brief respite from the harried frenziness otherwise known as my life, when I headed to the Caravan Stylist Studios at the Gregory Hotel to get my hair and makeup done.

A Top Shop Shaggy Rock-n-Roll Sweater and a Vegan Fringe Bag

[dropcap custom_class="normal"]I[/dropcap] have always been a bit of a rebel at heart. I was never quite a mainstream girl and I never tried out for the cheerleading team. And I am going to admit to a secret—The Royals is a guiltily pleasure of mine. And my favorite character of course is the princess. I Love her snarky, I can see through your bullshit attitude and her edgy to die for wardrobe. Plus she is gorgeous, I wouldn’t mind looking like her! So a few weeks ago when I attended an event

A Cold Rainy Day in May and a Pair of Adidas Super Stars for Only $40

Last weekend ended with another rainy day at the end of a very rainy week. I was not feeling inspired, and was actually feeling out right grumpy. I had been looking forward to a warm sunny spring day as the weather forecast had originally predicted, but nope it was gray, overcast and cold; as you can see here in this anything but spring like ensemble.

Lara Violetta—A Breath of Fresh Air in the Often Challenging & Stale Influencer landscape.

A few weeks ago I spoke about an influencer that had been bullied off every social media platform, and to this day Ashley has yet to return. I discovered Ashely when one of her videos showed up on my suggested feed on YouTube. I love when the algorithm does its job, it can often go wrong, but when it does get it right you are rewarded with a whole new world to discover. And much like Ashly I was rewarded with the discovery of another inspiring influencer—Lara Violetta.

Where is Ashley of BestDressed?

The Kardashians a modern day phenomenon in which “every day” people share their lives with the world (and get a lot o hate for it) were, so to speak along with all “reality” TV stars, a precursor to today’s influencers who also share their lives online. And for any influencer that gets big enough they too are going to have to deal with the haters.

From grand balls of centuries past, to the roaring twenties, to modern day cocktail parties—the party frock enables the wearer to transcend her ordinary life and feel special, emboldened, and dare I say like a star—even, if just for an evening. The Pearl Choker Necklace—The Old School Staple Now Trending for 2022

[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]Fashion Week is quickly approaching and it seems it is more or less back to where it was in 2019. This was the last time I was in Paris and I found that trends I saw there arrived on American shores about 12-18 months later. In general I feel like Europe is ahead of the trends to a degree, I guess because in the States there are two major cities that are super fashion forward: New York and Los Angles.[/dropcap]

Trends Straight From The Streets of Paris

[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]I will be chatting today about the trends I witnessed on the streets of Paris this past fall. I always feel Parisian style is a bit more individualistic then American style. I find in the states that people are much more driven by specific trends and brands, with everyone wearing similar looks and styles from the same fashion houses; almost a uniform if you will; while in Paris it is more about expressing your individual style. That said Parisians do indeed follow trends much like their counterparts across the pond. I mean no one is immune to FOMO.[/dropcap]

[dropcap custom_class="whb"]Sometimes we need something snappy. The problem is, a whole set of denigrating values comes with the notion of fast food. Words commonly linked to the term include insipid, low quality, mass produced and so on. It is enough to have you reaching for a bottle at 1.00pm.
